The Sherman Community Players is excited to announce the selection of Josh Harris as the new Artistic Director. Harris will be the Theater’s sixth director, joining a select group of directors who have lead us to our upcoming 71st season. His tenure at Sherman Community Players begins May 1, 2019.Harris is a Texoma native. He started in the Theatricks program in grade school, getting cast in Charlotte’s Web and he was bitten by the Theater bug. Harris stated “I’m honored to be the new artistic director of SCP Main Stage. To be part of its distinguished legacy of artistic excellence is humbling and simply mind-blowing. When I first started performing with SCP twenty years ago, I would have never dreamed this possible.I’m so thankful to be welcomed home in this collaborative and immersive environment. Our 71st season is going to be one to remember!" Josh Harris attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and earned BA with dual majors: one in musical theater and one in acting with an emphasis in directing. He comes to the appointment with a varied portfolio and substantial experience as an actor, director, choreographer, and teacher, including serving as Guest Director for Music Man and the upcoming West Side Story for SCP. Harris has worked professionally with the Oklahoma Shakespeare Festival, Charleston Stage Company, and in New York City. He brings a passion for our community and the theater to his new job as Artistic Director.

Webster is serving in his 31st year as Theatricks Director.  Most recently, Webster  took on the title of Administrative Director upon the retirement of long term Managing Director Ron Cassady.  He has served as  Technical Director for both Mainstage and Theatricks since 1993.Originally from Indiana, Mr. Crocker moved to Sherman to attend Austin College where he received his B.A. in Communication Arts and Fine Arts.  In 2006 Webster returned to Austin College to teach classes on Scenic and Lighting Design.He received his M.A. in Speech/Theatre from Oklahoma State University.  During his time here, Webster has helped to renew SCP's commitment to children by establishing Project Theatre.
