In 2013, the Theatricks Advisory Council set out to propose a plan to make the best use of SCP's buildings and their space usages in order to make the most of and benefitting current programming and volunteer participation safely and creatively. It was decided to bring back the idea of adding a second floor to the Honey McGee Playhouse for a costume construction shop, thus freeing up other spaces to better organize and store safely equipment, props, lumber, and set pieces. A second floor was originally in the plans for the current Honey McGee Playhouse with structural elements included in the walls of the building for future additions, but the second floor was cut from the project because of finances at that time. Now with programming reaching peak involvement, and demands on the current limited space, plans have been set into motion to finally add that additional second floor.
